Calimere Point partnered with a European asset management firm managing over €30 billion AUM to automate counterparty credit risk assessment using generative AI (GenAI). The firm faced inefficiencies in manually reviewing 150 counterparties’ financial data, especially for 100 unlisted entities relying on annual reports. The proof of concept evaluated three approaches: pure GenAI, traditional data analytics, and a hybrid model combining both. The hybrid AI assistant model proved most effective, delivering scalable, accurate, and interactive automation, reducing costs tenfold and enhancing operational efficiency while managing risks in asset management processes.
