Sabadell-Zurich, the bancassurance joint venture between Banco Sabadell and Zurich Insurance Group, partnered with NTT DATA to modernize its legacy application environment and accelerate digital innovation using Amazon Web Services. The organization needed a more agile, scalable, and cost-efficient platform to replace aging systems that had become inflexible and expensive to maintain. NTT DATA built a cloud-native platform called Olimpo using AWS, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, Spring Boot, AngularJS, Jenkins, and GitOps-based DevOps automation. The project enabled Sabadell-Zurich to deploy up to 15 digital applications and 50 architectural services within two years, improve IT team autonomy, automate infrastructure deployment, increase platform visibility, and accelerate delivery of new digital services.
