Carrier Corporation uses e2open’s Logistics as a Service team to plan and manage the transportation of components across a complex North American network. Shipments move within the US, between the US and Mexico, from Mexico to the US, and from Canada to the US, supplying five manufacturing plants in the US with plans to expand deliveries to plants in Mexico. Effective coordination with suppliers is critical to maintaining inventory levels and supporting daily production planning. However, logistics planners lacked detailed visibility into supplier appointment schedules, making it difficult to ensure components arrived on time. Frequent or inconsistent supplier shipping patterns further complicated planning, increasing the risk of delays and production disruptions.
