Auchan Magyarorszag Kft., the Hungarian branch of the international Auchan retail chain, sought to modernize its point-of-sale (POS) infrastructure across its nationwide network of hypermarkets. To support the rollout of new POS systems, the company deployed two-node high-availability clusters powered by StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN) in 19 hypermarkets. The solution enabled a cost-effective virtualization-based storage environment that improved system availability, reliability, and operational efficiency while minimizing the risk of service interruptions.
