Ayuntamiento de Calp, the municipal government of Calp, Spain, needed to strengthen the reliability and availability of its IT infrastructure to support continuous access to essential public services. Before deploying StarWind Virtual SAN (VSAN), the organization operated a VMware-based virtualized environment using a traditional shared storage array connected to multiple hosts. Although the infrastructure provided centralized storage, it lacked a software-defined storage layer capable of maintaining real-time data replication between nodes, limiting resilience and increasing the risk of service disruption.
