Ansfelden Municipality, an Austrian town of 18,000 residents near Linz, supports daily public services with around 250 staff across 25 locations and has used SonicWall since 2006. After a security review with partner Lenz IT, the municipality modernized its infrastructure with a mix of SonicWall NSa and TZ Series appliances, 10 SonicWave access points, a virtual SMA 500v, and a virtual email security appliance. The integrated approach improved protection against known and unknown threats, enabled centralized unified management through a central admin office, and connected 20+ sites via VPN, creating a strong foundation for voice-over-IP and unified communications across external offices.
