This case study describes how Cyber College Cymru (CCC), a network of Welsh colleges, partnered with TechEd Programmes and Cyberbit to build a world-class cybersecurity talent pipeline for Wales by immersing students in ultra-realistic Security Operations Center simulations and live-fire challenges. Using the Cyberbit cyber range, students train on real tools and frameworks (including MITRE ATT&CK and NICE) and practice incident response under pressure, with over 160 students trained per year and many progressing into higher education or entry-level roles with industry partners. The program helps close the UK cyber skills gap by accelerating job readiness, reducing time to productivity, and strengthening Wales’ growing digital economy and cybersecurity ecosystem.
