Community Fibre overcame IPv4 exhaustion by implementing large-scale network address translation, ensuring excellent subscriber experience and application availability while maximizing IPv4 resources. The solution reclaimed 63 IPv4 addresses for each public address used, achieved clear ROI, and eliminated the need for costly IP address procurement. It also enabled centralized control and management of CGNAT services and IPv4 pools, supporting ultra-fast fiber delivery to homes and businesses in London. This initiative was led by Sam Defriez, Head of Networks at Community Fibre.
