Critical Public Health Application Moved to the Cloud to Track COVID Immunization Records and Eliminate Crashes
3 PagesGeorgia DPH’s GRITS system struggled with fixed on-premise infrastructure that repeatedly crashed under pandemic data loads. To improve scalability, resilience and cost efficiency, TekStream migrated GRITS to AWS using MGN, RDS for Oracle, CloudFront, WAF, load balancing and auto scaling. The move enabled right-sized capacity, improved continuity and faster response times. DPH eliminated on-premise limitations, gained dynamic scaling and secured more than $50,000 in AWS MAP funding while modernizing its public health reporting platform.
