Icon collaborated closely with the client’s architecture, product, payment operations and engineering teams, as well as the external Payments‑as‑a‑Service provider, to define the solution architecture. The design was developed iteratively to align with the delivery roadmap, allowing engineering teams to progress while ensuring all build activities stayed consistent with the target architecture. Leveraging extensive cloud expertise, Icon addressed disaster recovery needs and supported cloud service provider “planned exit” options required by the Payment Service Regulator. Icon also engaged in discussions with the payment schemes to ensure the architecture met regulatory, operational and integration requirements.
