Icon worked over six months with key product teams responsible for the bank’s business‑banking payment services, including debit and credit card issuing, bulk and real‑time payments such as Faster Payments, BACS and CHAPS, and the transaction banking strategy programme. They also collaborated with teams managing card acquiring, open banking payments and API connectivity. The work required deep payments expertise, strong understanding of policy and regulation and active engagement with senior stakeholders to gather broad input and build support for recommended actions as part of the bank’s request for a comprehensive payments assessment and strategic guidance.
