Designing Safer Automobiles: Subaru Migrates HPC to the Cloud with Altair and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Using Altair PBS Professional, Subaru enabled cloud bursting, workload scheduling, and resource optimization without sacrificing performance. The migration was completed in six weeks, far faster than traditional on-prem expansion. Subaru reduced HPC costs by hundreds of millions of yen while maintaining high simulation accuracy. The hybrid cloud strategy now supports collision safety, fluid simulation, and ongoing innovation as Subaru advances its goal of zero fatal traffic accidents.
