Driscoll’s needed simpler, more reliable protection for the virtualized systems supporting its berry supply chain. Array-based snapshots consumed primary storage, shortened retention, complicated file-level recovery, and increased management overhead, while separate SQL backup products created additional support complexity. Rubrik introduced application-aware, agentless protection, scale-out deduplication, VM and file-level recovery, Live Mount, and public-cloud archival. Deployment took about 20 minutes to rack and four minutes to configure. File restores that previously required 30 minutes to more than an hour became nearly instantaneous, while separate backup infrastructure enabled longer retention without consuming primary capacity. Rubrik also protected a critical 1 TB cooler-facility
