Mabe partnered with Altair to enhance appliance performance by leveraging AI-driven user behavior prediction. Using Altair RapidMiner AI Studio and AI Hub, Mabe analyzed over one million records collected from connected refrigerators in the field. The goal was to optimize compressor and fan operation based on how customers interacted with appliances, such as door-opening frequency and duration. Altair helped build an automated workflow to clean, transform, and score data, delivering actionable insights within 60 days. The resulting models enabled energy savings while keeping food fresher for longer. This initiative strengthened Mabe’s Industry 4.0 strategy and expanded AI adoption across product development.
