A Northeastern U.S. nuclear power plant used aerial drone inspections to evaluate exterior concrete walls on six critical structures in compliance with ACI standards. Over ten days, high-resolution imagery captured 100% wall coverage, identifying cracks, corrosion, coating failures, and structural anomalies. Data was processed into 2D/3D models and delivered through a cloud-based visual asset management platform. By eliminating scaffolding, rope access, and heavy equipment, the utility achieved over $375,000 in cost savings while improving inspection accuracy and reducing site disruption.
