This case study describes how DEKRA replaced an end-of-life automation platform while migrating its inspection systems to Windows 11. Its mission-critical environment spans Java, Microsoft 365, SAP GUI, PDFs, WinForms, web applications, and APIs, with failures potentially costing several million euros per day. Keysight Eggplant provided object-independent, image- and OCR-based automation across the full technology stack. DEKRA rebuilt its suite within one year using modular scripts, reusable handlers, nightly preparation, and parallel execution across seven virtual machines.
