A European police department operating 15 stations with over 14,000 officers faced challenges in managing a high volume of emergency and non-emergency calls. One major district station, handling over 1,000 daily calls, needed a system to prioritize alerts and share information efficiently. Black Box created a pilot solution using a NEC 55” LED video wall, a DKM FX KVM Matrix, and a ControlBridge touch panel. This setup provided fast crosspoint switching, flexible monitoring, and streamlined control across eight desks with video walls and satellite feeds. The new system enabled prioritization by color-coded alerts, improved efficiency in routine tasks, and faster emergency responses, leading to a regional rollout.
