French Broad EMC deployed A10 Thunder CGN to prevent service outages, eliminate manual intervention for DDoS mitigation, and enable rapid customer base growth through efficient IPv4 address utilization. The solution also supported rural internet adoption, delivered estimated CAPEX savings of 50–79 percent, and achieved ROI in less than a year. These improvements addressed critical challenges such as expanding the customer base, stopping unexpected outages, mitigating DDoS attacks on IPv4 pools, and overcoming IPv4 exhaustion that limited growth. The project was led by Network Engineer Devin Rice.
