Ghana’s National Identification Authority faced major challenges with a centralized card printing system that required citizens to travel multiple times, resulting in millions of uncollected ID cards. To improve efficiency, the agency worked with an Entrust partner to deploy nearly 2,000 CD800 Direct-to-Card printers with lamination modules, enabling decentralized and instant card issuance. This solution reduced the time from enrollment to card delivery to under 30 minutes, significantly improving accessibility and convenience for citizens. It also increased issuance efficiency, supporting the successful distribution of millions of national ID cards while streamlining the overall registration process.
