321 Coffee, a North Carolina-based café chain primarily staffed by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), partnered with Lenovo to make its workplace more accessible and create meaningful employment opportunities. As the company expanded and launched its own coffee roasting facility, it sought to redesign traditional roasting processes that often present barriers for workers with disabilities.
