La Poste built an internal Migration Factory using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to automate upgrades from CentOS 7 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 to RHEL 8. Integrated into its XaaS private cloud portal, the service allows business users to trigger upgrades with minimal manual intervention. Automation workflows handle conversion and in-place upgrades while preserving configurations. In just three months, the service was used more than 900 times. The approach reduced risk, simplified standardization, and ensured critical systems remain supported and secure.
