Leveraging AI to diagnose cancer up to 10x faster
The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan launched an AI-powered cancer screening initiative to improve early breast cancer detection across 120 hospitals. Facing a shortage of radiologists and growing demand for screening services, the ministry partnered with INOVA TECH, Lenovo, Nutanix, AKGUN, and WDSOFT to build a centralized radiology platform. The solution uses Lenovo ThinkAgile HX5520 hyperconverged infrastructure powered by 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors, enabling rapid processing and analysis of medical images. AI software trained on mammograms and X-rays helps identify potential cancerous and precancerous areas, supporting radiologists in diagnosis. The platform can analyze X-ray images within 20 seconds and radiological images within 45 seconds. More than 3
