Case Study
LTE group aces cybersecurity
LTE Group, a major U.K. education and training provider, replaced McAfee after an infection bypassed it, disrupted Skype VoIP quality, and contributed to a breach that caused rolling downtime for 1,000 employees and thousands of students over two weeks. After evaluating multiple vendors, it adopted Bitdefender GravityZone to protect 6,000 Windows and Mac workstations (expanding to 10,000), 600 VMware ESXi virtual servers, 1,750 VMware Horizon desktops, 70 physical servers, and 7,000 Exchange mailboxes. Since deployment, LTE reports zero incidents over 18 months, scans reduced to 20–30 minutes, virtual desktop login and response times improved 30%, security admin time dropped 80%, and trouble calls fell from about 150 to under 50 per month.
