A major Mexican mining firm significantly bolstered its operational technology (OT) security by partnering with Keysight to eliminate critical visibility blind spots across its extensive network of mining, metallurgical, and chemical plants. To achieve this, the company deployed Keysight’s Flex TAPs for passive, non-intrusive traffic acquisition from optical links and Vision network packet brokers (NPBs) to aggregate and redirect this data to OT security sensors. This software-driven visibility architecture ensures that security tools receive an exact, reliable copy of all network traffic, enabling continuous, real-time monitoring and threat detection without disrupting sensitive industrial operations.
