Optimizing Historical Knowledge Retrieval: Extracting Knowledge by Making Connections
A Federally Funded Research and Development Center faced challenges due to poor and incomplete metadata, making it difficult for researchers to efficiently search and locate relevant scientific reports within large repositories. This limited their ability to extract valuable insights and slowed research workflows. To address this, Enterprise Knowledge partnered with the organization to improve data accessibility by cleaning and enriching metadata. They also developed a proof-of-concept application that automated document classification, enhancing discoverability and enabling researchers to more easily connect and retrieve relevant information across vast collections of historical research materials.
