OPTIMIZING PLANT RESOURCES WITH ASSET MONITORING AND AUTOMATED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
The New York Times, a global daily news source with 64 printing sites worldwide and more than 10,000 assets at its main plant, used Accruent’s Maintenance Connection CMMS to optimize plant resources through asset monitoring and automated preventative maintenance. The software enabled maintenance based on equipment usage, automatically scheduling PMs according to cycle counts so heavily used machines received timely service. This approach reduced unplanned downtime, extended asset life, and improved print‑line reliability, helping the organization maintain production of over 1 million weekly print copies and about 1.68 billion dollars in annual revenue with greater efficiency and lower maintenance costs.
