During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tasmania faced a critical challenge when nearly 3,000 positive cases were mistakenly released from quarantine due to data and messaging errors, risking further spread and public health compromise. Partnering with Conduent and leveraging its Maven disease surveillance solution, the government quickly identified the source of errors and restored reporting integrity. Conduent deployed developers and project managers who resolved the issue within days, uncovering additional unreported cases and correcting them. The collaboration prevented misreporting of thousands of cases, restored trust in health data, and safeguarded timely, accurate public health monitoring.
