The National Supercomputing Centre Singapore partnered with Altair to modernize its HPC operations using Liquid Scheduling built on PBS Professional. Facing rising demand, diverse workloads, and limited engineering resources, NSCC needed a solution that could unify multiple clusters without disrupting user workflows. Liquid Scheduling enabled global resource pooling, intelligent job placement, and improved utilization across heterogeneous systems. Users gained seamless access to a wider compute pool while administrators implemented global fairshare policies with reduced overhead. The solution improved collaboration, scalability, and efficiency, positioning NSCC to support national initiatives in AI, climate science, and advanced research.
