Rhenish Primary School in South Africa, with around 800 pupils, needed stronger cybersecurity as it shifted to blended learning and saw a large increase in student devices on campus, requiring safe browsing and bandwidth controls for school-related use. Its offsite ISP firewall lacked the depth needed, so after consulting SonicWall it deployed an NSa 4650 next-generation firewall with content filtering for HTTP/HTTPS, gateway antivirus, anti-spyware, intrusion protection, plus LDAP integration, SSO, SSL authentication, and a captive portal. After deployment, the school reported significantly less malware activity, improved visibility and access control, and greater peace of mind for staff and students.
