This case study describes how the Sarasota County Agricultural Fair Association partnered with Evolv Technology to strengthen security after a shooting at its 2021 fair. Following the incident, the organization replaced manual bag checks and handheld metal wands with the Evolv Express system, which was rapidly deployed in just one day. The new solution accurately detected weapons, reduced security wait times of up to 15 minutes, and allowed only flagged visitors to undergo secondary screening, improving both safety and visitor flow.
