Chongqing Health Center for Women and Children (CQHCWC), one of China’s largest maternal and child healthcare hospitals, needed to modernize its aging data center infrastructure to support growing patient volumes and the demands of a new hospital information system (HIS). Serving more than 44,000 inpatients, 1.7 million outpatients and emergency visits annually, and delivering over 18,000 babies each year, the hospital required a highly available, scalable, and high-performance platform for mission-critical healthcare applications. Working with Lenovo, CQHCWC deployed Lenovo ThinkSystem SR590 and SR860 servers, ThinkSystem DM7100F all-flash storage, and DM7100H hybrid storage in an active-active configuration with real-time data replication.
