This case study describes how an oil and gas operator partnered with DEKRA to improve safety and operational reliability following regulatory notices and leadership turnover. A values-based leadership program was implemented, including vision workshops, workforce training on risk perception and hazard awareness, three-day safety leadership training for supervisors, and ongoing coaching to embed behavioral change. After 18 months, the operator achieved 13 months and 2 million work hours without a Lost Time Incident, reduced Total Recordable Case Frequency by 29%, and cut First Aid Injuries by 68%. The initiative also increased near-miss reporting and reduced plant trips by fostering a proactive safety culture.
