The airline faced challenges with a traditional data center-centric security architecture that could not keep pace with remote work and digital modernization initiatives. Legacy firewalls, VPNs, and security point products lacked the scalability and advanced threat detection capabilities needed to address evolving cyber risks. By implementing a zero trust architecture in just six months, United Airlines enabled secure, direct connectivity for users while significantly improving threat protection.
