The University of Lausanne, managing over 22PB of data across seven faculties, sought to modernize its backup and recovery infrastructure. Storage Backup Manager Michel Ruffieux aimed to replace an outdated backup system at the Neuchâtel site with a comprehensive, hyperconverged solution covering the entire virtual environment. Partnering with Cohesity, VMware, and channel partner Infoniqa SQL AG, the university implemented Cohesity’s platform to ensure robust data security, simplify management, and enhance backup efficiency across its extensive virtual infrastructure, supporting over 15,000 students and 5,000 employees.
