The client needed to replace a fragmented set of legacy systems with a modern platform capable of supporting their entire health business. Much of their existing technology relied on aging mainframe infrastructure, which had become increasingly difficult to document, maintain and adapt to new business needs. Although a software vendor had already been engaged, it soon became clear that the data challenges were far greater than expected. Multiple systems held different versions of complex business information, making it essential to first establish an accurate view of the current and target data architectures. This understanding was critical to successfully deliver the transformation programme and ensure a smooth migration to the new unified platform.
