China Mobile, in collaboration with EMQX, advanced the Internet of Vehicles by building a 5G-enabled V2X ecosystem in Chongqing’s Liangjiang Innovation Zone. The project created a 55-kilometer demonstration area integrating vehicles, roads, and infrastructure using 5G, Beidou, and IoT technologies. Leveraging EMQX’s MQTT platform, the system collects and processes real-time traffic and road data, enabling efficient vehicle-road coordination and cloud-based control. This solution improved traffic safety, optimized mobility, and enhanced data-driven decision-making. It also established a scalable and secure foundation for intelligent transportation, accelerating the development of connected vehicles and smart city infrastructure.
