Visibility and Remote Troubleshooting for Rural Next Generation 911 Locations
This case study examines how a U.S. state supported reliable Next Generation 911 services in remote communities that lacked the budgets and infrastructure of larger cities. Rural locations faced the risk of degraded calls, dropped connections, delayed repairs, and reduced emergency coverage whenever network problems occurred. The state deployed customized IOTA appliances at strategic sites to provide persistent packet capture, real-time monitoring, and historical traffic analysis.
