Secure Data Against Quantum Risk
Riverbed’s RiOS 10 introduces post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to protect data-in-transit against future quantum threats. As quantum computing rapidly advances, traditional encryption methods like RSA and ECC are at risk of being broken. RiOS 10 uses a hybrid key exchange combining ECC with ML-KEM (Kyber), a quantum-resistant algorithm, during TLS 1.3 negotiation to ensure Perfect Forward Secrecy and prevent “harvest now, decrypt later” attacks. This approach secures data across edge, cloud, and data centers—especially vital for AI-driven, high-volume environments. Organizations are urged to adopt PQC now to ensure future-proof, compliant, and resilient cybersecurity.
