Seventy percent of surveyed financial investors report backing out of at least one active deal with AI exposure in the past year, increasingly strengthening diligence to better assess opportunity and risk. While investors know what strong AI readiness looks like, most target companies fall short, often due to weak data and technology foundations, process challenges, or a lack of clear business impact.
