Riverbed’s Global Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Survey reveals that 92% of public sector leaders view seamless digital experiences as critical to agency mission and competitiveness. Younger generations, especially Gen Z, have the highest digital expectations, and 63% of leaders say this unmet demand could drive talent loss. Top challenges include budget constraints (48%), IT skill gaps (39%), and data overload (28%). Despite these, 87% seek greater investment in unified observability, and 88% want more visibility into networks and user experience. Unified observability with AI and automation is seen as vital to improving DEX, addressing skills shortages, and supporting digital transformation across services.
