Employees are eager to grow their skills, yet many organizations fail to provide enough time, support, or encouragement for development. Despite this gap, upskilling has become a top priority across employees, HR leaders, and senior executives. Organizations must first identify the drivers behind skill development needs, then adopt modern and flexible learning approaches to meet them effectively. While a majority of HR professionals recognize the importance of upskilling, only about half report that managers actively support it. Leading learning and development teams stand out by promoting continuous growth, fostering a supportive culture, and aligning skill-building efforts with future workforce needs.
