Old privileged access mistakes persist, with 40% not enforcing MFA, 34% failing to revoke unused privileges, and 33% lacking a PAM solution. Experts anticipate rising identity threats within 12–18 months, including advanced phishing (45%), deepfakes (41%), supply chain attacks (25%), and ransomware targeting privileged accounts (17%). Looking ahead, 57% believe AI-powered identity validation will be transformative.
