The Great Regret: How Do Employees Feel About the Moves They’ve Made?
This infographic explores employee sentiment following the Great Resignation. While 52% of employees were job hunting at its peak, one-third ultimately changed roles. Flexibility was the top reason for leaving, chosen more than twice as often as compensation. Most employees who switched report higher engagement (78%) and more meaningful recognition (69%). However, 29% now regret their decision, with regret especially high in tech. The piece introduces the “Boomerang” opportunity, encouraging HR leaders to maintain positive offboarding experiences and nurture alumni networks to re-attract talent who may reconsider their move.
