There Are Two Ways to Manage Organizational Change: One Is Easy, the Other Is Better
Leaders today face complex challenges, from talent shortages and supply chain disruptions to rapid technological change and climate pressures. In response, organizations can manage change in two ways: limit initiatives to match current capacity, or take the better approach by increasing the organization’s ability to absorb change. While the easier path relies on rigid prioritization and saying no to ideas, the stronger approach builds resilience by anticipating overload, sequencing initiatives realistically, and investing in support where it is needed most. Teaching and applying Agile ways of working helps teams stay energized, manage complexity, and sustain performance through continuous change.
