Effective May 3, 2025, TSA Security Directive Pipeline-2021-02F supersedes the previous directive and aims to protect critical U.S. gas and liquid pipeline systems from malicious cyber intrusions. It applies to owners and operators of TSA-designated critical pipeline systems or facilities notified before July 26, 2022. Requirements include identifying Critical Cyber Systems, implementing network segmentation and access controls, establishing continuous monitoring and threat detection, applying risk-based security patches and updates, maintaining a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan, and developing a Cybersecurity Assessment Plan.
