Arctic Wolf’s 2025 report examines how organizations are adopting AI in cybersecurity and why success depends on combining automation with human expertise. Based on a survey of 1,950 IT and security practitioners, it found that 73% had introduced AI-driven cybersecurity, while 99% said AI capabilities would influence upcoming security purchases. Organizations expect AI to strengthen threat detection, response, prediction, automation, and overstretched security teams, but concerns remain around trust, privacy, cost, and oversight. The report concludes that AI should complement rather than replace security professionals. Workflows should let AI automate and analyze while humans validate, govern, and provide judgment, supported by suitable data, processes, training, and expert partnerships.
