MX’s consumer research shows digital and mobile banking are now dominant, with 80% using online accounts and 68% using mobile apps, led by 89% of Gen Z and 84% of Millennials. Consumers check accounts frequently, with 56% doing so daily, and 72% saying they’d switch banks if their provider didn’t connect with favorite fintech apps. Demand for personalization is high, as 70% expect tailored notifications and 63% want proactive financial help. Yet only 44% aggregate accounts into one view, though 58% believe it’s important, highlighting an opportunity for Open Finance and unified financial experiences.
