The report evaluates the scale and sources of cyber risk in the United Kingdom by analyzing the FTSE 100, which includes the top publicly traded companies on the London Stock Exchange. Using data from June 2023 and comparing it with the previous year, UpGuard assessed publicly available information to evaluate risk factors linked to data breaches. These factors cover six areas: network security, email security, website security, brand security, phishing and malware, and questionnaire risks. The collected data is then combined and weighted to produce an overall security rating for each company.
