Surveying 275 HR professionals, this report highlights declining engagement amid remote work and “quiet quitting.” Only 23% report high average engagement, and just 11% say most of their workforce is highly engaged. Engagement strongly impacts customer service, productivity, retention, and performance. Yet only half of organizations measure engagement, and many rely on outdated methods like exit interviews. Top engagement drivers include career growth, culture, supervisor relationships, flexibility, and compensation. High-engagement organizations prioritize leadership accountability, continuous measurement, transparent data sharing, and proactive action planning to sustain workforce commitment.
