The Global Trends for Financial Reporting survey by insightsoftware and Hanover Research highlights key challenges faced by finance teams. In North America, 58% produce financial statements daily compared to 45% in EMEA, while 73% are responsible for financial planning and analysis versus 56% in EMEA. Heavy IT dependence is evident, with 78% in North America and 75% in EMEA frequently interacting with IT for reports, and 84% versus 75% feeling over-reliant on IT. Globally, 80% of organizations see finance as too IT-dependent, 50% cite manual processes and lack of resources as planning challenges, and 42% prioritize enabling timely, flexible decisions.
